MERCY

I typed the name of the book I was going to review when I realized that, on September 11, 2011, that word needs to be reserved for those who need God’s blessings in their lives.

“Greater love has no man than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.”

The firefighters, the first responders, and the passengers on Flight 93 who deprived the hijackers of their prize, the Capitol or the White House, have been made perfect.  Mercy has been shown to them.

May mercy be granted to their survivors, especially to the 3000 children who lost parents that day.

Let us reclaim the word “hero” and give it to those who deserve it.
